Recycling Event! 9 am – 1pm

Held at the old WalMart/Furniture for Less parking lot at Highway 5 (Main St.) and Highway 92.

Electronic Recycle The City of Woodstock is joining forces with Advanced Disposal and First Tech Recycling to bring the Woodstock community a day of electronic recycling. Citizens are encouraged to bring in their old computers, monitors, cell phones, etc. All disposals will be done free of charge, except for television sets which will require a $10 disposal fee. All equipment will be broken down by First Tech Recycling and processed so it can be re-used, thus lessening demands on local landfills and keeping toxins from leaking into our soil and waterways. Drive through, we’ll unload for you!

Battery, Cell Phone, Scrap Metal & CFL Recycling We will also recycle your household batteries, scrap metal and compact fluorescent light bulbs! Sorry no car batteries will be accepted. Light bulbs must be in a clear plastic, sealed bag. No appliances with Freon, or motors with oil or gas. We cannot accept auto parts. Scrap metal must be able to fit in a dumpster. Home Depot stores will accept compact fluorescent light bulbs all year long!

Document Destruction Again this year we will be working with Georgia Document Destruction to shred all of your confidential documents. There will be a limit of 5 boxes per car. We cannot accept magazines or newspapers. For business shredding service, please call Georgia Document Destruction at 770-516-6500.
